Arhangai Province - Blue Lake Trek

Trek to the beautiful Khukh Nuur (Blue Lake) located at the top of the Arhangai Mountains.

On this challenging trekking route a you will averaging between 20KM to 30KM per day through amazingly picturesque mountain valleys and along river banks. This area of Arhangai is known to Mongolians as the “Horse Breeders Paradise” for its beauty. Along the way you will experience the unspoiled local nature and warm hospitality of the area’s nomadic families. On this trek you will have opportunities to go horse back riding and learn how to use a yak as a pack animal.Read Itinerary


Arhangai Province - Horseback riding around White Lake

White Lake is one of our favorite places to visit when we are in the Arkhangai Region! This is truly a fantastic add on to Blue Lake Mountain Trekking and /or the Nomadic Naadam Route. Bulgan Province - Quest for the Last Emperor

On this historically rich adventure you will explore the homeland of Mongolia’s nomads and travel in XV century and participate in “Quest for the last Emperor”, bringing Batmunkh son to Queen Manduhai and the ceremony called, “Ascending Batmunkh Dayan Khan to the Throne”. Your travels will also include Khadagt Khoshuu—a special place of worship for local herders, the Manduhai Queen Monument, the beautiful Swan Lake, and a landscape of sand dunes. You will visit herder families, and have the opportunity to ride by camel cart, ox cart, and horse with a herder guide in the Khogno Khaan National park.

There is a wise saying, “it is much better to see something once than hear it a thousand times.” Our quest will give you a golden chance to explore the nomadic way of life and to introduce you to one of a place where a part of Mongolia’s great history was made. Darhan Uul Province - Community Life

In this trip you will have rare opportunity and bounty to spend you precious time serving the local orphan children by helping with the vegetable growing activities, teaching some songs and have lunch with the orphans. You will also learn how to ride camel, milk camels, and drink camel milk. Beside that you also will have opportunity to ride horse, milking cow, mare and goat, making cheese by milk, making cream butter and airag (koumiss), visits to historical places such as Chinggis Khaan Horse pitching post, ancient graves, Worshipped Orvon Hill and historical museum where you can see mammoth ivory, rhinoceros skull and etc. While experiencing the historical and outdoor activities you will also be entertain by the local cultural events of traditional long and folk songs, traditional dance, chanting with horse headed fiddle and yochin and contortionist acrobatic.Read Itinerary

Dundgovi Prvince - Pilgrims' Route

Saihan Ovoo know as the gateway to Umnugovi’s famous Gobi ‘Khongor Els’ sand dunes. However, many that travel through this location are unaware of its ancient and raw beauty, this area is home to the largest monastery ruins in the entire Gobi. One can easy spend a day exploring the locations ancient ruins that spread several kilometres and the hidden caves used by early “robin hoods” of Mongolia that stole from the rich and gave to the poor and used the cave to hide from local authorities... Dundgovi Province - Uus Sand Dunes

From Mandalgovi you will make your way to GurvanSaihan where you can streach your legs and visit the local Monestary. If you are lucky you may get sent out with their blessings!

As you make your way southwards towards Uush Sand Dunes, the Gobi landscapes will transport you to what it must have been like during first explorers to Mongolia. This a good opportunity to enjoy the ride and mindscape! Uush Sand Dune is known for its traditional healing properties! You will have a great opportunity to ride a camel and/or trek along the sand dunes with our local herder who manages the area.Read Itinerary

Dundgovi Province - Noble Rock Palace

On this adventure, you will have opportunities to learn traditional Mongolian songs and play hand-made instrument with our Nomadic families. You will travel by horseback, camel-carts and greatly enjoy some trekking, bouldering and cave exploring.Ih Gazriin Chuluu (Special Protected Area) is known for its massive rock formation that covers a distance of 15 kilometers as it was an underwater sea mountain range some 65-200 million years ago. What makes this area really interesting is that many of the rocks take shapes of animals, people, and even Chingis Khan himself! Many Mongolians consider the area origin Mongolia’s traditional long song; as it is the birth place of Mrs. Norovbanzad, a very famous Long Song singer. Read Itinerary



Selenge Province - A Monk's Life

On this trip you will have rare experience and spiritual bounty living the life as a Monk at the ever beautiful and hidden jewel known as Amarbaysgalant monastery which situated in the Iven River Valley. The monastery was established in 1727-1736 in memory of Undur Gageen Zanabazar at the order of Manchurian emperor. While experiencing the spiritual bounty, you will also get opportunity to visit ancient stupor made of stones, clays where the roofs of the monastery was made, spring water, pick up wild berries (the growing seasons for berries are from end of July to mid of September) play ankle bone game which called ‘Shagai’ in Mongolian, milking cow, learn how to make Mongolian dumpling (buzz).
