Day One - Tsetserleg town (D): In the morning at 08am you will depart from UB by public bus for 460kms to Tsetserleg town. Check in local guest house and have a dinner. Overnight at guest house.
Day Two - Trekking to Canyon (B, L, D): After breakfast we will drive White Lake. Upon your arrival at his family they will welcome you a nomadic lunch and tea. Afterwards he will show you his carvings e.g. wooden furniture, horse head fiddle etc and his wife Mrs. Doljin will show you how to sew traditional dress, button on it and tie a knot. Also, you can see some new clothing and things which she made. Then you will start your horse riding to canyon which is 8 m high and located 2 km away from the family. In the evening you will be served a nomadic dinner with a family and then you can play ankle bone game with family.
Day Three - Traveling by ox cart and trek to Khorgyn Togoo Valcano (B, L, D): Before your breakfast you will have an opportunity to help Mrs. Doljin to milk cows. After your breakfast Mr. Batdelger’s neighbor Mr. Chuluunerdene will guide you to next family by oxcart for 18kms. On the way you will trek up to beautiful Khorgyn Togoo volcano and you will be served a packed lunch. Upon arrival at Munhkgerel` s family, you will be welcomed a nomadic dinner.
Day Four - Horse riding along the White Lake (B, L, D): In the morning you will be welcomed a nomadic breakfast. Afterwards you will start horse riding along the White Lake for 20km. On the way you will visit Stone Gers and Human statue and you will be served a packed lunch. In the evening you will back to family and have a dinner.
Day Five - Jargalant hot spring (B, L, D): After breakfast we will drive through wooded slopes of Khangai Mountain range and crossing high mountain passes. On the way you will be served a picnic lunch. Upon arrival at Jargalant Hot Springs you will finish today’s driving and relax at ger camp.
Day Six - Lake Huvsgul (B, L, D): On this day we head north to the Lake Huvsgul, is the deepest lake in Central Asia, with a maximum depth of 262 meters. Its water is crystal clear and fresh. The reflections of larch forests and majestic Mountains in the lake water are amazing. 96 rivers and streams feed into the lake of Huvsgul Nuur and the Egiin River exits from it. Huvsgul is truly a highlight of any trip to Mongolia. On the way we will pass through Murun town, the provincial capital of Huvsgul. Overnight in a ger camp.
Day Seven - Visit to the Reindeer People (B, L, D): The Reindeer people earned them the Mongolian name Tsaatan, which means roughly “with reindeer”. The Tsaatan people are originally from Tuva in Siberia, who have historically inhabited the border region of Russia and Mongolia. The Tsaatan have depended on domesticated reindeer for nearly all of their basic needs, such as milk for food, skins for clothing and antlers for tools. We will go look for them by foot and by horse. We cannot guarantee that we meet them because the Tsaatan move between five and ten times per year, but the scenery of the area is well worth the exploration time! Late afternoon we will drive to down to Murun, where we will sit on public bus to Ulaanbaatar.
Day Eight-Nine - Ulaanbaatar: Drive back to UB city. On the way you will camp in Bulgan province.
