On this unique program you will learn archery; one of Mongolia’s national Naadam sporting events as well as ankle bone shooting. Ankle bones has been developing rapidly as traditional sport and now has also entered the national Naadam festival. During this programme you will also travel by horse and/or ox cart to the Legendary Taihar Rock that is situated along the Tamir River with a local nomadic guide.
Day One - Learn the ancient art of Mongolian archery: n the morning time, you will drive to Mr.Batochir’s family by rural jeep. Upon your arrival, a family will welcome you a nomadic milk tea and cookies. Then you will learn how to shoot Mongolian archery with Mr. Batochir. In the afternoon, you will be served a nomadic lunch and tea. Late afternoon you will have an opportunity to travel to Taikhar Rock in south bank of the north Tamir River by oxcart for four kms. Taikhar Rock is one of the Mongolian historic and cultural mysterious sights. It has over 150 scripts, petro glyphs since 1300AD.Coming back to the nomad family. You will have a dinner with family and then you can play chess, ankle, and volleyball with people of the region.
Day Two - Learn the ancient art of ankle bone shooting: After your breakfast, Mr. Batochir will show you how to play anklebone shooting. Ankle is be shot to the target on distance of 2-4m. After lunch, you will learn how to tie wrapping of the horse`s feet. Afterwards, you will travel to Khuush that is beautiful canyon for 8 km choosing from horse, oxcart and trek. Coming back to the family, have dinner and a rest.
Day Three - Departure:After breakfast, your rural driver will pick you up from family and take you to Tsetserleg town.
