HOW GER TO GER PROJECT COOPERATES WITH THE INDUSTRY AND PUBLIC SECTORS
Ger to Ger provides both domestic and international travelers, travel agencies, operators and businesses an opporunity to ethically and systermatically contribute to the advancement of rural communities.

Step One - Knowlede Sharing for Responsible Action Planning
Our approach is to freely share knowledge about Mongolia and its social cultural environments. Ger to Ger provides an intensive pre-rural-travel orientation to all travelers that wish to travel via community travel routes. This covers many key subjects to sensitize the travelers to local conditions (cultural, language, traditions, etc.) so that both local herders and their communities can positively growth, develop and have meaningful cultural exchanges with the travel industry.

Likewise, Ger to Ger spends countless hours with travel agencies, tour operators and businesses (TATOs) in creating a greater awareness and sensitivity about our program in Mongolia. TATOs have much to gain from cooperating with Ger to Ger Project. As global tourism grows so does consumer awareness about the massive role that locals play in a country's image, logistics, etc. Global consumers are often bitter about how many TATOs have exploited locals for financial gain, and in other cases, how TATOs in good faith have tried to setup their own social economic initiative but owing to the lack of time to opperate a business and local projects, find themselves quickly over their heads in most cases...

Ger to Ger also actively contributes and supports towards the development of other initiatives being carried out by other organizations to advance the cause of community tourism, responsible tourism and sustainable tourism.

Step Two - Partnerships for Responsible Action Implementation
Ger to Ger is the middle path! We are tourism and development professionals working side by side in the effort to develop new rural labor forces, new rural job markets, value added products and services and systematic linkages with the public-private sectors. We provide the opportunity for TATOs to incorporate Ger to Ger within their itineraries either as a segment and/or stand alone product and by purchasing the services of Ger to Ger they are systematically contributing to the development of rural Mongolia, not as a charity but as a "responsible tour operator" acting in line with the international concept of responsible tourism.

In addition to private sector businesses, many of our public sector partnerships have also benefited greatly to the expertise of Ger to Ger's Project Team Members as we are highly skilled professionals. Our team have worked on and have led a variety of projects for USAID, SDC, World Bank, CHF International, and etc., as well as traveled to all corners of Mongolia on both public-private initiatives for rural, industry and country development.
