Elsen Tasarhai Nomadic Herders and Rashaant Community Health
In June 2007, 8 Korean doctors had traveled via Ger to Ger and provided health checkups to local nomadic herders and their nearby village. This activity was jointly organized by a Korean NGO with Ger to Ger Project and the local government and hospital of Rashaant community.
Innovative health initiatives through tourism's Public-Private Partnerships can open many doors for local communities!
1. Ger to Ger through its partnership network with local herders and community memebers in government and health sectors had effectively open the doors for the Korean NGO to carryout its health works.
2. Once the ground works were done, the Korean doctors and their NGO could meet with local nomadic herders and provide health checkups both rurally and within a clinic for hundreds at Rashaant village with the local support of the hospital and government.
